Enter the exact domain you want to use (e.g. www.yourbrand.com or shop.yourbrand.com)

↑ Type your domain and click the gold Add Domain button

💡 www or root? We recommend the www version (www.yourbrand.com) — it's the most reliable. Want the bare root (yourbrand.com) too? See the FAQ — most registrars can forward root → www in one click.
3

Copy your two DNS recordsA CNAME + a TXT verification record

As soon as you add the domain, Elite Sites shows you the exact two records to create. They look like this (your TXT value will be a unique code):

theeliteengines.com/dashboard.html#domain
TypeHost / NamePoints to / Value
CNAME www pages.theeliteengines.com
TXT _tee-verify.www tee-verify-a1b2c3d4e5f6…
Add both records in your DNS provider, then come back and click Verify.

↑ The two records Elite Sites generates for you

📋 These values never change The CNAME target is always pages.theeliteengines.com. Only the TXT verification code is unique to you.
4

Add the records at your registrarGoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare — same idea everywhere

Open a new tab, log in to wherever you bought your domain, and find DNS Settings (sometimes called "DNS Management", "Advanced DNS", or "DNS Records"). Click Add Record and create the two records exactly as shown. Here's what your DNS panel should look like once both are added:

dash.yourregistrar.com · DNS Management
TypeHostValueTTL
A@(existing — leave alone)Auto
CNAMENEWwwwpages.theeliteengines.comAuto
TXTNEW_tee-verify.wwwtee-verify-a1b2c3d4e5f6…Auto

↑ How the two new records look in a typical registrar's DNS panel

📝 Registrar wording cheat-sheet Some registrars only want the prefix in the Host field (type www, not the full domain). Others auto-append your domain. If _tee-verify.www is rejected, try just _tee-verify for a www site — both resolve to the same place.
⛔ Common mistake Don't add https:// or a trailing slash to the CNAME value. It must be exactly pages.theeliteengines.com — nothing more.
5

Turn on free SSLThe padlock 🔒 — handled by Cloudflare's free plan

Your site needs HTTPS (the padlock in the browser bar) so visitors trust it and Google ranks it. The free, reliable way is Cloudflare's free plan, which issues and renews your SSL certificate automatically.

dash.cloudflare.com · DNS · Records
CNAME www → pages.theeliteengines.com
🟠 Proxied
Orange cloud = Proxied = free SSL is active. Grey cloud = DNS only = no SSL.

↑ The orange cloud must be ON for HTTPS to work

✅ Already on Cloudflare? If your domain already uses Cloudflare, just add the records and flip the cloud to orange. SSL turns on within minutes — no certificate files to manage, ever.
6

Verify your domainBack in the dashboard — click Verify DNS

DNS changes take a few minutes to spread across the internet. Wait 2–5 minutes (sometimes up to an hour on slower registrars), then return to your Custom Domain tab and click Verify next to your domain.

↑ When both records check out, the status flips to Verified

The status pill walks through three stages:

⏳ Pending ✓ Verified ● Active

Point your domain at a pagePick which page visitors land on

Last step. Once verified, choose which page your domain should show — your Elite Site homepage, a sales page, a review page, or a page you built in the Page Editor. Select it, save, and your status turns Active.

🎉 Done! Open https://www.yourbrand.com in your browser. You should see your site with the padlock 🔒. Share it everywhere — it's your professional brand address now.

Troubleshooting & FAQ

DNS propagation can take anywhere from 2 minutes to 1 hour (occasionally longer on budget registrars). Things to check:

1. The CNAME value is exactly pages.theeliteengines.com (no https://, no trailing dot or slash).
2. The TXT host is _tee-verify.www (or just _tee-verify) and the value matches the code in your dashboard exactly.
3. You added them to the same DNS provider your domain actually uses. If you moved nameservers to Cloudflare, the records must live in Cloudflare — not your old registrar.

Then wait a few minutes and click Verify again. You can check propagation at dnschecker.org.

For the free padlock 🔒, yes — Cloudflare's free plan is the recommended, zero-maintenance way to get HTTPS on a custom domain. Add your domain to Cloudflare, point the CNAME with the orange cloud ON, and SSL issues automatically. Your visitors get a secure site and Google rewards it in rankings.

Yes. Two easy options:

Option A (recommended): Use Cloudflare. It supports "CNAME flattening", so you can add a CNAME on the root @ pointing to pages.theeliteengines.com — something normal registrars can't do.

Option B: In your registrar, set the root domain to forward/redirect to www.yourbrand.com (most registrars have a one-click "Domain Forwarding" setting), then connect the www version with this guide.

If you point an A record on the root directly to our origin, use IP 31.97.60.89 — but Cloudflare is strongly preferred so you keep SSL.

Adding a CNAME on www only affects the www address. Your email (MX records) and root domain are untouched. Don't delete existing records — only add the two new ones. If a conflicting www record already exists, edit it to point to pages.theeliteengines.com instead of creating a duplicate.

Any registrar works — popular, affordable ones are Namecheap, Cloudflare Registrar (at-cost pricing), GoDaddy, and Hostinger. A .com typically costs $10–15/year. Buy it, then come back to Step 1.

Custom domains are a Premium feature. You can connect a domain to your Elite Site, sales pages, review pages, and Page Editor pages. Need multiple domains? Reach out via the support tab and we'll sort you out.
